High-Speed MDA / ICT In-Circuit Tester for SMT PCBA Mass Production
TRI TR518FR is a proven high-performance In-Circuit Tester (ICT / MDA) built on the classic TR518 platform, widely adopted for populated PCB assembly testing in electronics manufacturing. It uses long-life mechanical reed relay switching matrix, supporting up to 2560 analog test points, delivering fast and stable component measurement and fault diagnosis for medium-to-high volume PCBA production lines.
This system adopts phase separation technology for R/L/C measurement and special 4-wire sensing for low resistance measurement, eliminating contact resistance interference. It features 100% detectable electrolytic capacitor polarity testing, automatic test program learning and generation for open/short and IC protection diode tests.
TR518FR employs reed relay switching hardware with CMOS design for fast, reliable switching. It applies RLC phase separation technology and stray capacitance offset function to enhance measurement accuracy. The 4-wire measurement mode removes probe contact resistance error for low-resistance components. It supports automatic learning to generate test programs for open/short circuits and IC clamping diode tests, greatly shortening program development time. The system runs on Windows OS with intuitive graphical board view for fast fault pinpointing.
Powered by TRI proprietary test software, TR518FR supports automatic program generation, multi-link board programming, and database-connected yield management. Typical capabilities include: Automatic test learning, multi-panel program generation, automatic isolation point selection, electrolytic capacitor polarity test, stray capacitance offset, SPC logging, yield analysis & custom reporting.
The tester can be integrated into factory networks for centralized production data monitoring and traceability.
Supports offline press-type fixture design. Modular test point expansion, starting from 256 points and expandable up to 2560 analog test points. Compact cabinet design saves factory floor space, easy to deploy on SMT production lines.
