The PARMI SigmaX D is a professional 3D Solder Paste Inspection (SPI) system designed for modern high-speed SMT production lines.
Using advanced laser line scanning technology, the SigmaX D generates detailed 3D inspection data of the PCB and solder paste, enabling accurate measurement of solder paste height, area, volume, offset, bridging, and shape abnormalities.
The system also supports PCB warpage inspection, PCB shrinkage and expansion compensation, and Feedback & Feedforward process control, helping manufacturers achieve more stable and intelligent SMT process control.
The SigmaX D uses laser line scanning technology to capture three-dimensional data from the PCB and solder paste, generating genuine 3D inspection images.
The inspection method is designed to minimize the influence of the inspected object's color, material, and surface characteristics, providing reliable 3D measurement data for high-precision solder paste inspection.
PCB warpage can significantly affect solder paste printing, component placement, and soldering quality.
The SigmaX D can scan the PCB surface and measure PCB warpage while supporting Z-axis control and compensation to maintain a stable inspection reference.
By comparing PCB fiducial coordinates with Gerber data, the SigmaX D can analyze PCB shrinkage and expansion during production and provide compensation data for solder paste printing position control.
This capability is particularly valuable for high-density and high-precision PCB manufacturing.
The SigmaX series uses the next-generation RSC-7 3D laser inspection technology. Publicly available product information indicates that the RSC-7 provides improved inspection speed compared with the previous RSC-6, with SigmaX configurations reaching up to approximately 100 cm²/sec, depending on configuration.
